CEM responds to the power outage incident happened at 11am which was due to the malfunction of the high voltage equipment in Canal dos Patos Substation. The incident affected a wide range of areas in Macau.

To stabilize electricity supply, CEM immediately takes emergency measures by activating the Coloane power generation units. The power grid is now stable and power restoration begins.
